Chesterfield, Virginia - October 17, 2024—The Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center (CFBOC) and Chesterfield Town Center partnered to create the first-ever Flavors of Fall Chef's Showdown, a chef’s competition and fundraising event. The event was held at Kali Love Restaurant at Chesterfield Town Center and included chefs from restaurants across Chesterfield County, and was a true success.
The Flavors of Fall Chef's Showdown drew over 60 attendees who sampled delicious fall-inspired menu items such as braised short rib and sweet potato shepherd's pie, slow-roasted and pan-seared pork chops with sweet potato puree, roasted pumpkin soup, and many more. The event was a tremendous success and raised funds equivalent to 11,000 meals for Chesterfield families facing food insecurity.
“We are truly grateful for how our partnership with Chesterfield Town Center has flourished over the years,” said Kim Hill, Executive Director of CFBOC. “As Chesterfield Town Center has evolved and improved over the years their commitment to building a stronger Chesterfield has never wavered.”
